Parris

Born and raised in London, Parris has been directing music videos for artists such as Fabolous, Jay-Z , The Dream, Ludacris, Swizz Beatz Rick Ross and Busta Rhymes. His work has been premiered on many networks around the world such as MTV, Vh1 & B.E.T. After relocating to New York City in early 2000, Parris began DJ-ing in the trendy clubs and lounges of downtown New York. Through his contacts on New York scene, he soon found chance to shoot videos, one ultra-low budget work found its way as a feature in Rolling Stones Magazine as the editors top pick. Following this success, Paris has moved from strength to strength and has been engaged by top labels such as Warner bros and Def Jam to directed videos for their marquee artists.

More recently, Parris has made the transition into narrative cinema. He is currently developing a short movie entitled “Feminista”, an adaptation from a book of the same title that will be released later this year. Parris hopes to make this his introduction in to feature length movies.

From the first video he directed, Parris has been honing his craft of mixing a narrative and a documentary feel to his videos, sprinkled with a cutting edge style and fashion, all of which sets his work apart from the rest of the field. With the recent demand of more content for the web and TV as well as shrinking budgets, Parris still believes the highest quality product is the only acceptable product, and he is working diligently to push the boundaries of his craft one video at a time.
